MOTION CONCERNING TRAMWAY SHELTERS.

NOTICE TO BE GIVEN TO RESCIND RESOLUTION. Notice of motion to rescind the resolution passed by the City Council last night that two tram shelters be erected in the Square will be given by Councillr A. A. M’Lachlan at the next meeting of the council. Councillor M’Lachlan stated to-day that he did not think that anything should be done to upset the present arrangements until the Square case was considred in the light of one-way traffic for trams and all vehicles. _ “There is still the risk that the council will be placing on the highway buildings which within a very short time may become at least a nuisance,” stated Councillor M’Lachlan. “If and when they become a nuisance it will be competent for any citizen to apply to the Court, as before, for an injunction.”
