THRILLING RACE TRACK PICTURE AT MAJESTIC.

Excellent entertainment is provided at tiie Majestic Theatre this week, where Kichard Arlen is featured in “Burning: Up.” an exciting race track drama. This time the producers have broken new ground, and the story is woven around a motor-car track race and the fight for honours between two dare-devil drivers. Mary Brian plays the feminine lead and acquits herself very creditably. Richard Arlen, as a racing driver, becomes mixed up with a questionable crowd of company promoters and agrees to contest a •* faked ” race for them. When ho learns that they plan to fleece the father of the girl he loves he decides to risk the consequences and drive to win in opposition to the plans of his backers. The race commences and he is forced off the track by his unscrupulous rival. When he takes to the track again unhurt, things begin to burn up ” in earnest and thrills are the order of the day. He speeds after his rival and, despite another attempt to upset, him. manages to scrape home fust. A delicate love story is skilfully woven through the production and makes a delightful conclusion to a really first-class talkie. A news feature shows the arrival of the French airmen, Coste and Bellonte, in New York and the sinking of the Tahiti. There is also an excellent comedy and a song featurette.
