CONGRESS DISAGREES WITH MR HOOVER

(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, December 6. All. semblance of Congressional accord with President Hoover vanished when the Senate Agricultural Committee unanimously approved of a 60,000,000 dollar drought relief programme in disregard of the proposal for an expenditure of 25,000,000 dollars put forward by the Administration. Senator M’Nary, chairman of the committee, announced that he would report the 60,000,000 dollar measure to the Senate on December 8 for prompt passage. In the meanwhile it is foreseen that the passage of this and other contemplated Bills will apparently increase the year’s Treasury deficit from 180,000,000 dollars as estimated in Mr Hoover’s Budget to 330,000,000 dollars.
