(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, December 8. Bidding- at the first call of the week was very tame. A sale of Electrolytic Zinc preference shares was recorded, still cheaper at 18s, and a sale was made in the room of Bank of New Zealand?, ex div., at £2 11s. Brokers’ bids were chiefly confined to a re-statement of week-end quotations, with a slight easing in some instances. Commercial Banks were easier with best buyers at 15s 9d. There was fair interest, in the Breweries section. New Zealand were available at £2 Is. A buyer came forward for Staples at £1 18s, and one for Tuis increased his offer to 16s. Tooths had sellers at £1 4s 9d.

The Dairy Division grading figures for the four months ended November, 1930, show an increase for butter of 4.34 per cent at 35,491 tons (34,013), and for cheese an increase of 11.11 per cent at 27,447 tons (24,701), as compared with the corresponding period last season. Reduced to terms of butterfat equivalent, the gradings of dairy produce for the four months show an increase of 6.09 per cent over the corresponding period for the preceding season. DUNEDIN MARKETS.
