FOUR PEOPLE HURT IN WEEK-END ACCIDENTS.
A fifteen-year-old girl, Rita Savage, of .50, Charfes Street, fell off a cycle in Lincoln Road on Saturday evening, soon after 6 o’clock, and was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from an injured arm. Her condition is not serious. Charles Ashby, a sailor off the s.s. Rotorua, then at Lyttelton, fell from a ladder while engaged in his work on Saturday afternoon, and sustained serious head injuries. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, and is on the serious list. As the result of a spill at the Monica Park Speedway on Saturday evening, S. R. Russell, one of the riders, was admitted to hospital with a broken collar-bone. His condition is not seriA single man named B. Calder. of Halkett, fell from a bicycle in Cashel Street yesterday, and was taken to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from injuries to his ear and shock. His lull was brought about through his front tyre catching in tram rails.
