NEW ZEALANDER DIES IN SMASH.

MAN CRUSHED WHEN CAR SOMERSAULTS. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received December 3, 9.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 3. Crushed in a car smash, which occurred between Bega and Cobargo, Andrew Smith, aged 45, a New Zealander, gave a farewell message for his wife and family and then died in his friend’s arms. With John Mornington, also a New Zealander, he was motoring from Melbourne, when his car somersaulted twice over an embankment. Mornington was uninjured. “I am dying,” said Smith. “Cable my wife and family.” He then fell back lifeless.
