Oil, 2s 3d; Wanganui 52 per cent (1943), £99. Fresh sales were reported at the noon call, hut none were finalised in tlie room, and the latest bidding - indicated a weak market tone in the banking section. English and Scottish were offered at £5 2s, National of Australasia, (contr.) at £5 13s, and Unions at £9 12s 6d. All represented lower valuations. Westport Coals were available Gd cheaper, at 275. Mt Lyells firmed up. and after a reported sale at par, there were still inquiries at 19s 9d. For Kauri Timber buyers offered 10s, an advance of 6d. WELLINGTON, December 3.
