STREET COLLECTION HELD TO AID SCENIC RESERVES
A street collection, run by the Summit Road Trust, and organised by Mr H. G. Ell, was held to-day. The badges, on which was a Takahe with the words “The Sign of the Takahe,” were sold at almost every street corner by a band of willing helpers. From this effort the Summit Road Scenic Reserves will benefit considerably, for in spite of the fact that there have been several street appeals lately, the people - gave freely for this worthy cause.
