(Special to the “ Star.*’) AUCKLAND, December 2. A fair list of sales was put through on the .Stock Exchange yesterday afternoon, but this morning the only scrip dealt in was that of the Bank of New Zealand. For theste there has been a pronounced selling pressure since the wool sale opened with prices at a low level. A sale was made in Wellington yesterday down to £2 12s, but the lowest local sale has been at £2 12s 9d. At this morning’s call there was a general weakness in the banking section. For Commercials the highest offer was 15s 6d, for English and Scottish £4 17s 6d, and for New Zealand Nationals £5. New Zealand Insurances were a little easier, with sellers at £2 2s 9d. For "Westport Coal £1 6s was offei'ed. Sandford preference shares were offered 3d cheaper, at ISs 9d.
