After successful official trials over a harbour course at Auckland, the new wooden motor-vessel recently built by George Xicol has been sold to the Anchor Shipping and Foundry Company, Nelson. She has been named Taupata l»y her new owners. The Taupata will 'cave early in Decemlier for Norfolk Island and will then be taken to Nel- •*■*>». The Anchor Shipping Company intends to use her for the carriage of fruit 1 rom . Motueka, Mapua and Nelson toi Wellington* and in other cargo services h*r which her shallow draught of eight feet makes her especially suitable.
