MUSIC WEEK COMMITTEE HAD A SMALL BALANCE.
The final meeting of the committee for Music Week was held last week. After collecting guarantees and receiving donations towards the losses, there was a balance of £4 9s 9d, which was voted to Nurse Maude for the fund for the sick and needy. Votes or thanks were recorded to the guarantors, to all those who helped with the week and to the hon secretary. The balancesheet is as follows:—Receipts: Sale of tickets and programmes £llß 13s 9d; guarantees £64 2s; donations £2B 4s 6d; total £2ll 0s 3d. Expenditure: Advertising and stationery £67 3s; rent of theatre and organ £7O 4s; cartage of pianos and tuning £9 Is; furnishings £2 10s; wages stage hands and doorkeepers £27 12s 6d; honorarium to secretary £3O. Balance to Nurse Maude ‘-4 9s 9d.
