USE OF AN IRON BAR IS ALLEGED.
altercation leads TO CHARGE IN COURT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 2. As a sequel to an altercation last night, Frederick William Hardwick was charged at Onehunga with assaulting Charles Royal Porter, so as to cause him bodily' harm. The police said it was alleged that Hardwick struck Porter with an iron bar. There had been domestic discord. Porter might be a long time in hospital. Accused was remanded on bail.
