LYTTELTON TEAMS FOR REGATTA AT AKAROA. The following teams have been selected to represent the Lyttelton Rowing Club at the Akaroa regatta:—Youths’ fours, E. Ju Burbery str, R. May 3, K. Wyman 2, C. Thomas bow; maiden fours, W. Marshall str, W. Butcher 3, H. May 2, G. Whitford bow; m'aiden sculls, S. Sinclair str, A. W. Burbery bow; maiden pairs, R. Webb str, R. Poulson bow; junior pairs, W. Butcher str, R. Sneddon bow. Vital Statistics. The following births and deaths were registered at Lyttelton during the month of November. The figures for the corresponding period of last year are given in parentheses:—Births 5 (4), deaths 4 (4), marriage notices nil (1). Fire Brigade Competitions. Members of the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade have commenced training for the inter-borough volunteer fire brigades’ competitions. The next contest will be held at Lyttelton on December 6. The Lyttelton team will consist of Superintendent R. Carson, Firemen R. Maulden, A. Sullivan, W. Geayley, A. Wyatt and J. Jones. Tennis Club’s Dance. The Te Whaka Tennis Club held another dance at the Lyttelton Club on Saturday evening. Owing to counter attractions the attendance was not so large as usual, but the dance showed a profit which will be devoted toward the cost of relaying one of the courts.
