For obstinate grease marks on wallpaper use fuller’s earth. Dust it over the spot, leave for a time, then brush off. If necessary, repeat the proress. A shallow kettle with a wide base is much more economical to use on a gas stove, as the quantity of gas required lor heating it is less than for a tall and narrow specimen. A few drops of turpentine put into the starch water will prevent the clothes from “ sticking ” when they are ironed.
