SYDNEY MEAT TRADE SUFFERING IN STRIKE.

The efforts of Mr Justice Piddington to settle the meat strike have failed chiefly on the ground that the strikers have declined to give a guarantee of continuity of operation. The employers are now going ahead with their application for deregistration of the Meat Employees Union, which embraces slaughtermen. The estimated value of the export trade already logt is £120,000.
