ARBITRATION COURT DISMISSES APPEAL.

The Arbitration Court this morning upheld the decision of the Christchurch Motor Body Builders’ Apprenticeship Committee in forbidding B. H. Riseley, motor body builder, Christchurch, to employ an extra apprentice, ruling that he was already employing his full quota of apprentices. The appellant contended that a fourth year apprentice could be regarded as a journeyman for the purpose of taking on another apprentice. The Court, however, pointed out that there was no provision to that effect in the order, and dismissed the application.
