HEATHCOTE AND NEW BRIGHTON TRAFFIC CASES.

Ileathcote and New- Brighton traffic cases were heard this morning at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court before Mr 11. P. Lawry-, S.M. Charles Fox and Reginald Tablev were each fined £1 and costs for cutting

Charles Grlffen was fined £2 and costs for driving an unlicensed motor-car, £1 and costs for giving a false name and address, £1 and costs for driving a motor-car without a license, and £3 and costs for using other than the assigned number plates. Walter G. Butler (Mr Tracy) was fined 30s and costs for driving a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public. Richard Pearson was fined 10s and costs for riding a motor-cy-cie without a license. Heathcote Cases. For cutting corners, the following were fined with costs: Albert E. L. Ashby-, 10s; Raymond T. Blowers, 15s; J. 11. Burgess, 10s; Lester Thomas Burgess, 10s; K. E. England, 10s; George Horne, costs only-; R. P. Horne, 10s; Joseph Massey, 15s; Joseph M’Fadden, 10s. R. F. Clark was convicted and discharged for using an unlicensed trailer. George Horne was fined 10s and costs for failing to produce a license for inspection, £1 and costs for driving an unlicensed motor-car, and £2 and costs for affixing wrong number plates to a car. James A. Meikle was fined l()s and costs for driving a motor-car without a license, and E. M’Elroy £1 and costs on a similar charge. Sy-dney R. Smith ivas fined £1 and costs for driving a motor-car at a dangerous speed, and convicted and ordered to pay costs for failing to stop when required by the inspector. George. B. Taylor was fined £1 and costs lor riding a bicycle in a dangerous manner.
