A letter from the Sports Club formed by the men on the Public Works at Pur.LU, asking for old cricket material, wap referred to the clubs. It was decided that the Town v. Country match should be played at Hagley Park on December 3. Larger Wickets. Mr Burns said that both the Old Boys , and St Albans senior elevens decided that they would like to play their match on Saturday with the larger wickets as introduced in England. The meeting approved of the suggestion ‘‘lt is only consistent that all senior games should be played with the large stumps,” said Mr Burns, "It would Rive the Plunket Shield players a chance to get used to them.” It was decided to hold that sugges:ion in mind, pending accurate information as to the large wickets. "If they will make it easier to finish pur games out, we should encourage the big wickets," said Mr Hamilton. Mr Thompson: If it makes one of these teams able to secure a three-point ,tvin, it might not be fair on the other Clubs. I woifld like to see all the 4 atches played with the larger stumps, qut we must be fair to all. Delegates present expressed no oblection to the large wickets being used ill the match in question.
