BRITISH ENGINES FOR GIANT FLYING BOAT.
DO.X WILL HAVE NINE NEW MOTORS INSTALLED. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, November 17. It is understood that the Atlantic flight of Do.X has been postponed until new British engines have been fitted. Dr Dornier, while in England last week, arranged for the supply of eight 900 horse-power Rolls Royce engines to replace the twelve 600 horse-power engines at present installed. He calculated that the removal of two pairs of the tandem engines would give an increased performance, owing to lessened resistance.
