Mrs J. Tait, Opawa, is in Wellington to attend the Plunket Conference. Miss Iloldsworth, Wellington, is visiting Christchurch. Mile Blanche Lejeune, Paris, is a guest at Warner’s Hotel. Mrs C. W. Garrard, of Remuera. who has been visiting Canterbury and Westland, left yesterda3 r for Auckland. Mrs W. P. M.‘ Dickinson has left for Wellington to spend a few days with her brother, Mr E. Edmonds. Mrs F. Keegan, Akaroa, is the guest of her sister, Mrs F. Truscott, Redcliffs. Miss Elizabeth Harris, Cashmere Hills, who has been the guest of Mrs G. 11. Cossins, “Ardnaquere,” Timaru, returned home to-day. Mrs Maurice Warren, Innes Road, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs Bruce Murray, “Godley Peaks,” has returned home. Miss E. M’Le'an Christchurch, who has been the guest of Mrs R. Bruce, Akaroa, left yesterday to visit relatives and friends in Wellington. Mr and Mrs F. Wilding, “Fownhope,” Opawa, who are visiting Mr and Mrs Edwin Wilding, Southland, will return to Christchurch early next week. Miss Yvonne Levvey, Invercargill, who has been visiting Sydney, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Marama. Mrs Edric Wait, Fendalton, has returned from a visit to the North Island. Miss L. F. Camb\ r , of Christchurch, is visiting Auckland. Madame Winnie Fraser, soprano soloist, arrived from Oamaru last evening to fulfil her engagement with the Christchurch Male Voice Choir at its concert on Thursday evening. Miss Marjorie Statham, who has been the guest of her aunt, Mrs Charles Melvill, Selwyn Terrace, Wellington, will pass through Christchurch to-mor-row, en route to Dunedin. Miss Dorothy Acton-Adams, Clarence Reserve, Kaikoura, who has been staying with Miss Jessie Elliott, Kent Terrace,. Wellington, will arrive in Christchurch to-morrow. Mr and Mrs E. A. Rowe (Wellington), Mr and Mrs D. Stowell (Timaru), Mrs D. Macdonald (Edendale) and Mr and Mrs W. O. M’Kellar (Dunedin) are guests at the United Service Hotel. Miss Jean Beatty, who has been the guest of her aunt, Mrs J. Varley, at Prebbleton, left on Monday evening on her return to Sydney. She was accompanied as far as Wellington by Mrs Varfey, who will spend a short holiday there. The members of the Young Women’s Bible Class at Clarence Street Methodist Church recently showed their appreciation of the helpfulness and earnestness of their leader, Mrs J. F. Jack, by presenting her with a beauti-fully-bound photograph album. Miss Dorothy Leathwick made the presentation. ;
