The; Canterbury Swimming Centre will this year again conduct the “ Learn to Swim ” week. Last year it was held in March, but December 15-20 will be the dates this year. Miss D. Brown suggested that land drill should be taught the children so that they could do something for themselves. It was decided to call a meeting of those interested to be held next Tuesday. “ Seal ” is the general term for various species of carnivorous sea animals. The sea-lion is one species of seal, with a mane; the sea-elephant is another, with a kind of proboscis; the sea- j leopard another, with spots.
