OTTAWA, October 9. News from Winnipeg states that serious decreases in the wheat yield of Western Canada are foreseen as a possible result of the continued wet weather, which has delayed threshing for some sections since early September. Intermittent rains in northern Saskatchewan and Alberta have virtually stopped operations. Wheat sprouting is reported, preventing threshing in many cases. It is undoubtedly true that millions of bushels will be cut from the estimated prairie yield by the wet spell.
