GOVERNMENT NOW HAS PROBLEM WELL IN HAND.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric * Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received October 10, 9.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 10. The Treasurer, Mr B. S. B. Stevens, addressing civil servants, said that the State Government now had the financial problem well in hand, and, unless the drift became more rapid, the State would be able to weather the storm without material alteration of the present sacrifices.
