COUNTESS OF CATHCART HAS MARRIED AGAIN.
WAS NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER UNITED STATES. LONDON, October 1. Lady Vera, Countess of Cathcart, the prohibition of whose entry into the United States on the grounds of alleged “moral turpitude” created a sensation some years ago. married Sir Rowland Hodge at the Prince’s Row Registry Office yesterday. The bride wore three rows of pearls, a portion of the bridegroom’s lavish gifts. The Earl of Cathcart was among the first to congratulate his mother. The honeymoon will be spent at Paris and Monte Carlo.
x Sir Rowland Hodge is seventy-one years of age. He is chairman of Eltringhams, Limited, shipbuilders. Willington Quay-on-Tync, and vice-chairman of the Antrim Electricity Supply Company. He was founder and managing director for over twenty years of the Northumberland Shipbuilding Company, Limited. Lady Vera Hodge is a daughter of the late Mr John Fraser, of Cape Town and* widow of Captain de Grey Warter and of the fifth Earl of Cathcart.
