WOMAN IS FOUND WITH THROAT CUT

MURDER ALLEGED IN NEW PLYMOUTH CASE. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, September 16. . A woman, Cora Alice Townsend, forty-three, is alleged to have been murdered in the suburb of Fitzroy early this morning. She was severely cut about the throat. Constable King, of Fitzroy, was rung up at 2.4 y a.m., and he communicated with Inspector Fraser and Detective Meiklejohn, who with two constables went to the house and found the woman dead. The body was removed to the morgue. A search was instituted, and the outlying stations were advised. The result was that before ten o’clock an arrest was made in the Unenui district by Constable La Pouple. The man will probably be brought before the Court this afternoon.
