Mrs Noel Roake, who has been the guest of Mrs C. C. Miles, Kelburn, has returned to Christchurch. Mrs Beardsale, Lower Hutt, is the guest of her sister, Mrs R. S Carmody, Christchurch. Mrs John Grigg, Fendalton, is the guest of Mrs Arthur Grigg, Surrey Hills. Mrs Marmaduke Bethel!, Pahau Pastures, will leave to-night for a short visit to Wellington. Mrs Kenneth Macdonald is the guest of Mrs George Macdonald, Lowry Hills, Cheviot. Miss Phyllis Boyle, Park Terrace, is spending a holiday in the North Island. Miss Blanche Sanders, Worcester Street West, will leave by to-night’s ferry for Wellington. Miss Hilda Mulvany Gray, Victoria Street, who has been visiting Timaru, has returned home. Mrs C. Buchanan and Miss Diana Buchanan, Christchurch, have returned from a visit to Timaru. Mr and Mrs Jock Reid, Culverden, are the guests of Mrs J. Reid, Burnside, Oamaru. Miss Joan Cottrell, who has been spending the holidays in Christchurch, left for Dunedin to-day. Mrs Harne, Peru, is paying a visit to her mother, Mrs Michael Campbell, Christchurch. Mrs Owen Williams and her daughter, Christ’s College, have returned from a holiday visit to Waikari. Mr and Mrs G. S. Stark and Miss Gloria Stark, of Wellington, are staying at Warner’s Hotel. Dr and Mrs H. Warden Fitzgerald, of Dunedin, are staying at the United Service Hotel. Miss Agnes Case, Christchurch, who has been visiting her parents on the West Coast, returned with her sister to-daj'. Mr and Mrs George Gould, .Avonbank, Fendalton, are visiting Rotorua. Miss Barbara Gould is paying a visit to friends in the country. Mrs Huthwaite Ronaldson, Fendalton, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs J. Millward, Wanganui, is now staying with her parents, Mr and Mrs George Chapman. Lower Hutt. Mrs F. W. East, Cobden, West Coast, who has been staying with Mrs H. R. Smith, sen., at Broadfield, is now the guest of Mrs Saunders, Elizabeth Street, Riccarton.
