WEDDING.

Hooker—Fifield. The marriage was solemnised at the Baptist Church, Oxford Terrace, yesterday afternoon of Rita, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Fifield, of Christ church, and Harold, second son of Mr W. Hooker, Christchurch, and the late Mrs Hooker. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. Takle. and Miss V. Hallidav was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory faconnc, with tight-fitting sleeves and full skirt composed of georgette frills. Her embroidered veil, finished at either side of her head with orange blossom, fell to form a long train. She carried a bouquet of cream liot-house flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Myra Fifield, sister of the bride, wore a surf green georgette frock. The skirt, joined to the bodice in four points, fell to the ankles in an uneven hemline. Her crinoline hat toned with her frock, and she carried a bouquet of spring flowers. Mr Cyril Hooker, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at Dixieland. Mrs A. Fifield, who received the guests, wore a navy celanese frock with a frilled skirt and a beige georgette vestee. Her hat was of navy straw, and she carried a bouquet of violets and freesias. When Mr and Mrs Hooker left on their wedding tour, the latter wore a tobacco coloured wool crepe frock with a deep frilled skirt, a beige felt hat with Oriental embroideries and a coney seal coat.
