PANTRY BOY WHO POSED AS ANTIQUE DEALER.
(Special to the “Star.”) LONDON, July 2.
Charged with stealing silver to the value of £250 from his former employer, Colonel M. Roraer, at Great Addington, near Thrapston, George Wilton, a ninetecn-year-old pantry boy* was sent to Borstal for three years at Northampton Assizes. Mr Justice Acton described the thefts as deliberate and systematic. M* Candlands, prosecuting, said Wilton •btained the situation as pantry boy #n a genuine reference from a but. ler to the Duke of Newcastle and on another forged by his sister. The prisoner had posed to advertisers as dealer in antiques. Inspector Barker stated that Wilton was a native of Mansfield and had received a certificate and money present for assisting in the rescue of a woman and three children from a fire,
