LODGE MEETINGS.

The United Friendly Societies’ Benevolent Association held its annual meeting last evening - , the president, Brother F. 35. Foote, presiding - over a large attendance. The annual report showed that three more lodges had joined during the year, making a total of 4 4 now in the association; £SO had been granted to deserving eases during the year, and the total amount granted to June 30, 1930, was £1689 6s. The balance-sheet showed the funds to have increased during the year, the balance at the last audit being £542 5s 5d and at this audit £615 Is lid. The receipts for the year were £135 11s and the expenditure £62 14s 6d. The election of officers resulted as follows:—I. past president. Brother F. 15. Foote, A.0.F.: president, Brother W. Whitworth, M.U., 1.0.0. F.; vice-presi-dent, Sister E. Buddy, U.A.0.D.; secretary and treasurer, Brother 11. E. Smith, U.A.0.1T; M.S., Brother J. M’Lay, U.A.0.D.; auditors, Brother .T. Jones, P.A.. L. Haughey, H.A.C.8.5., and J. A. Clarke, M.U., 1.0.0. F.; trustees. Brothers R. B. Hean, 5.0.D.T., W. D. Conroy, U.A.0.D., and F. E. Legge, U.A.O.D.
