A discussion took place on the proposed Unemployment Bill, a copy of which was received from headquarters, who also notified that a meeting of the Dominion General Committee would be held in Wellington.on Tuesday. The Christchurch representative wa-<*. instructed to strongly urge the setting up of a Soldiers’ Civil Re-establishment League as recommended by the finding of the recent Rehabilitation Commission. It was decided to hold a special meeting of the executive on Monday, August 4, to consider tho decisions arrived at by the Dominion General ExeIt was reported that, seven men had beten selected for training in the manufacture of poppies, and that they would commence their tuition on July 29.
