The Cunard Line inaugurated ocean “ whoGpee excursions ” to nowhere when the liner California sailed to-day, piloted beyond the twelve miles zone by a revenue cutter. Five hundred women and 300 men within an hour after leaving New York tackled the job of consuming 16,331 bottles of liquor. They will visit Halifax for replenishment of stocks if the present supplies do not last for the six days of the cruise. There were seventy-five husbands and wives in the party, which contained 300 unattached women.
