Men 400 feet above the street level getting ready to clean the ball at the foot of the cross that surmounts the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. Recently thanksgiving services were held at the Cathedral to mark the completion of the work, which has extended over several years. The long building in the middle distance is the Cannon Street Railway Station, and the Tower Bridge can easily be identified.
