THEODORE WILL GO TO BRISBANE AT WEEK-END.
SEEKS OPPORTUNITY TO VINDICATE HONOUR
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.)
SYDNEY. July 10. Air E. G. Theodore has announced that he will go to Brisbane during the week-end to try to get the Queensland Government to act expeditiously in providing a trial, before a judicial tribunal, to enable him to vindicate his honour.
Theodore has also announced that he will take no further part in the Federal Parliament until he has cleared his name. He will therefore remain away pending the Queensland' Government’s decision on the subject of its next move.
The daily Press in Sydney and Melbourne express the view that Mr Theodore was unwise in describing Mr Justice Campbell, as a political hireling, and insist that, the Queensland Government should take definite action along the lines suggested by him. The official Labour organ in Sydney says that there is only one way—Mr Theodore must go into the witness-box and give evidence on oath.
