This year exceptionally good weather has been enjoyed for the Wimbledon tournament and the Henley regatta, annual fixtures of international interest which ended yesterday. It was America’s year at Wimbledon. J. Crawford, who is an Australian, was the only British subject to appear in the finals, while the French players also failed to repeat their successes of the previous years. At Henley, however, the American crews failed to reach the finals against the Englishmen.
