INDIAN LOAN ISSUE QUICKLY SUBSCRIBED.

(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received May 21, 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, May 20. The Government of India Loan which was underwritten 3*esterdav, was offered for subscription to-day, and the lists were closed early this afternoon. The issue consists of £7,000,000 of 0 per cent bonds maturing in 1933-35, and the price was £99 per cent. The proceeds of the issue wiil be used mainly to provide funds for capital expenditure on railways, and the balance will be employed for general purposes.
