The Eroica Club will give its first recital of the season in the Jellicoe Hall on Tuesday evening, May 13. The programme will include: “Am Meer” (Schubert-Liszt), Mrs Lionel Cordery; “Rigoletto” (Verdi-Liszt), Miss Edna Firth; “Etudes Symphoniques” (Schumann), Miss Marjorie Alexander; “Scherzo in Bb Minor” (Chopin), Miss Ella Thomson; “Concert Study” (Liszt), Miss Edith Ford; “Valse” (Chopin), Miss Elsie Rutter; and Sonata in Ab (Weber), Mr Noel Newson. Violin solos will be given by Mrs Francis Bate, ’cello solos by Mr Francis Bate, and vocal solos by Miss Frances Hamerton. A feature of the programme will be an instrumental trio, consisting of Mr and Mrs Bate and; Miss Nancye Hume.
