■*. The fortnightly meeting of the LJ.A.O.D. Oak of Sydenham Lodge, No. 10, was held in the Friendly Societies’ JJ.an, Hazeldean Road, on Wednesday, Bro R. Tlulbert, presiding, and Bro A. E. T. Williams, being presCorrespondence was received from thte secretary of the Royal Arch Chapter, stating that a Chapter of Instruction would bo held in the Orange Hall on Tuesday, May G, at 8 p.m., when P.G.P. Bro F. George would give a lecture on Standing Orders” and “Rules of Debate.” One maternity claim was passed for payment. The bard’fj report was received and sick pay amounting to £lO was passed for payment. Reports were received from A. D. Bro R. Hulbert on attending a church parade held at Ivaiapoi last Sunday, with other members of the lodge, and on the lodge syllabus. A vote of thank 3 was passed to Bro Tlulbert.
