JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SEVERELY ATTACKED.
(United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) TOKIO, May 1. The Government has been severely attacked upon the question of the London Treaty, the Opposition alleging that the final instructions, to the delegates in London, ignored the naval authorities. The Cabinet’s action, independent ol the opinion of the Naval Staff, constitutes the most important step yet made in the breakdown of the political domination of the Navy and Army, and raises an issue, the outcome of which is awaited with the keenest interest. Influential Progressives throughout the nation are supporting the Premier.
