CHAIRMAN ELECTED BY NEW HOSPITAL BOARD

Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, April 2. Charles Nees was elected chairman of the newly-constituted Marlborough Hospital Board, which takes the place of the Wairau and Picton boards, which have been amalgamated. Mr Nees was chairman of the Wairau Board. Distinction is added to his election as first chairman of the new body by the fact that he was also the first chairman of the Marlborough County Council, which displac id a host of road boards a few years ago.
