CHILD WALKED ACROSS ROAD AND WAS STRUCK

Per Press Association. HAWERA, April 1. Bruce M’Nae, aged four years, the son. of Mr and Mrs H. A. K. M’Nae. of Opunake, succumbed in hospital last night to injuries received about five o’clock, when struck by a motorcar on the road near Opunake. The child was walking with his brother near the railway crossing, when he suddenly decided to cross the road. Apparently he did not notice the approach of a car driven by L. M. Julian.
