„T ,US afternoon the New Zealand Whipple t Racing Club held its March meeting at the New Bfighton Trotting Club's ground, when some keen racing was witnessed. The following were the results:— Peterborough Novice Hurdles, 200yds. —Final: Mrs C. S. Forbes’s Speedaway (22yds) 3, Mrs C. S. Forbes’s White Pepper (30yds) 2, Mr J. Peters’ Billy Sea (30yds) 3. Time—3 3 3-ssec. Selwyn Open Hurdles, 200yds.—Final: Mr J. St. D. Johns's Glenrossie (19yds) 1, Mr V. J. Drake’s Betty (32yds) 2, Mr F. H. Johnson’s Rosenor (11yds) 3. Time—l 3 l-ssec. Hervey Flat Handicap (first-class), 300yds.—Final: Messrs Bates and Johns’s Winning Hit (20yds) 1, Mr W. F. Grenfell’s Commander (3yds) 2, Mr F. H. Johnson’s Chorus Girl (20yds) 3. Time—l2 l-10sec.
