ENTRIES FOR MADDISON SINGLES COMPETITION.

Entries for the Maddison Trophy competition, the singles championship of the Christchurch Centre, closed last night, a total of 22 being received. Only players who have won the singles championship of a club affiliated to the centre are eligible for the competition, and this year the St Albans, Heathcote, Opawa, Papanui, Rangiora and Belfast Clubs failed to complete their competitions before the time for receiving entries closed.
