TAWA FLAT WORKERS DID NOT HAVE STRIKE.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 7. The stoppage of work at Tawa Flat was not a strike. It was decided to hold a stop-work meeting to discuss the conditions under which the men are working, and as three shifts are running the stoppage was from midnight to midnight. As a result of the deliberations it was decided that a deputation should endeavour to meet the Minister of Public Works on his return from the north next week and place the men’s grievances before him.
