PRACTICE POLO PLAYED AT HAGLEY PARK.

Several practice polo games were played on the Hagley ground on Saturday, two of them being between the Banks Peninsula team and teams from the Christchurch Club. The ground was in perfect order, and there was some excellent play, as the players have got well into their stride this season now that they have had some solid practice. The Banks Peninsula team, consisting of four promising players, the three Menzies brothers and Sir Bruce Stewart, are showing improved form. On Saturday they were, beaten by the strong Christchurch A team, but secured a convincing victory over the “ B’s." The results of the games were:— Banks Peninsula (I. Menzies 4, H.
