OLD CHURCH ORGAN WILL BE RENOVATED. After fortv-three years’ service, the church organ at St Saviour’s Church, West Lyttelton, is to be renovated. The instrument was purchased from Messrs Milner and Thompson, of Christchurch, in 1887, it having built for the firm by Mr F. Sandford. The organ when dismantled was found to be badly riddled with borer and it requires a general overhaul. Repairs will be carried out by Mr H. G. Brett. When purchased the instrument cost £l5O. The cost of repairs will be about £6O. It is estimated that when repairs are completed the organ will be worth £3OO, according to present-day values. PERSONAL. Visitors to Nelson and Picton from Lyttelton include Mrs J. Plimmer and her daughters, Misses Phyllis and ITona Plimmer, also Misses M. and C. Williams. Mr and Mrs F. E. Sutton and family are Spending a holiday at Hanmer Springs. „ The Rev T. M. and Mrs Curnow, West Lyttelton, leave to-day* on a holiday visit to Akaroa. MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED. His motor-cycle skidding in some shingle, Norman Prisk, of Corsair Bay. yesterday received cuts on the face and legs, for which he was treated at the Casualty Ward.
