Third dimension, or depth of perspeo tive in standard motion picture photography, is now an established fact (says an American paper). A demonstration oi this was recently shown at the East, man projection room, when Colorart Synchrotone Corporation, Ltd., exhibited a reel of various objects photographed with the new device. In a garden scene of trees in the far distance with a cottage partially hidden, it was seen that a natural depth and perspective clarified the figures greatly. A basket of flowers in a close-up view showed the value of the new device. White flowers, photographed against white, showed up with every petal separate. Flowers, leaves and stems stood out effectively. The first feature picture in which the new device will be used is “Mamba,” now being made by Colorart Synchrotone, with Jean Hersholt. Eleanor Boardman and Ralph Forbes.
