WEDDING.

VICARS—WHITELAW. The wedding of Thelma Grace, only daughter of Mr George Whitelaw and the late Mrs Whitelaw (Greenpark), u, Harold Eustace, third son of Mr and Mrs Robert Vicars (Suva, Fiji), was recently solemnised in the Newtown (Wellington) Congregational Church by the Rev David Jones, M.A. The bride wore a dainty jumper suit of pale rose crepe de chine muriel and georgette, trimmed -with blue, and a picture hat with blue streamers to match. She carried a showed bouquet of roses, sweet peas, and maiden-hair fern. She was attended by Miss Cora Vicars, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a pretty frock of blue crepe de chine, trimmed with lace, with hat to match'. Miss Vicars carried a shower bouquet to tone. The bride was given away by Mr Haycraft, and Mr Armstrong, of Johnsonville, was best man. At the wedding breakfast the guests were received by Mrs Vicars, the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a navy figured crepe de chine frock and hat to match. Later, Mr and Mrs Harold Vicars left for the North, the bride wearing a navy blue costume with a navy and lemon hat.
