FOOTBALL OFFICIALS FINED FOR SELLING LIQUOR AT SOCIAL.
Per Press Association. HAMILTON, December 11. Holding that the club had no right to supply alcoholic drink to those who paid for admission to a football social, Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to-day imposed a fine of £2 each on the president and secretary of the Gordonton Football Club. They pleaded guilty to selling liquor without a license, the supplying of liquor as part of an entertainment being legally construed as selling.
