Signalising the end of the feud which has persisted since 1870, % when his grandfather seized Rome as his capital, King Victor and his Queen - this morning crossed the threshold of the Vatican and were welcomed by an imposing array of Papal Guards and were escorted to the Throne Room, where both curtsied and kissed the Papal ring, after -which they sat on either side and conversed with the Pope, who finally bestowed’ the Apostolic blessing on the Royal Family.
