TARINGAMOTU HACK HANDICAP, Of 100 sovs. Six furlongs. 2 Abbess, 7.9 (M’Tavish) 1 5 Rose Lupin, 7.3 2 7—Abbey Queen, 7.5 3 Also started: Partial Eclipse, Snow Prince, Tasty, Ruby Dawn. Won by a short head. Time—lmin 18 2-ssec. TAUMARUNUI CUP, Of 200 sovs. One mile and a quarter. 4—Hakanoa, 7.10 (M’Tavish).. 1 3 Wenday, 8.1 2 2—Glena Bay, 7.10 3 Also ran: Ohinemuri, Sir Burnett. Won by three lengths. Time—2min 1 * sec. Sir Burnett fell and brought down Ohinemuri, whose rider, H. Gray, sustained a broken collar bone. SCRATCHINGS.
